My Procolored F13 is dropping white ink on the first pass but coverage looks thin — film looks dry and patchy after cure. What's wrong?
That white ink is honestly the bane of these machines. It's the titanium dioxide settling—heavy pigment that turns to sludge if it stops moving. When was the last time you gave the white ink tanks a really good shake? And did this start happening suddenly or has it been gradual?
Maybe 3 days ago. Should I do a head clean?
Three days without printing on the F13? Yeah, that white ink has definitely settled by now. Don't jump straight to head cleaning—that can make things worse if the ink is really settled. Shake those white ink bottles hard for 45-60 seconds first (you want to hear the agitator balls rattling), then run a nozzle check to see what we're actually dealing with. If you still see missing lines or faint white, then we'll do one head cleaning cycle. Give those bottles a good shake and run that nozzle check—let me know what the pattern looks like.
